Archer's words at 18 months

In anticipation of his 18 month check-up, Raminta and I cataloged ~50 words (spoken, signed or both) that Archer has. Wow.

...and we're definitely noticing how easy communication has become in the last month or so. This sweet kid is getting easier. Next stop: 2 years and lots of spoken words!

w = spoken words
s = signs

w  TJ - possibly Archer's first word, although dog and ball were also very early.
w  Dada
w  Bubba
w  Dog (dooh)
ws Cat (tee) - Every cat needs/wants a tackle/hug, right?
ws Bird
ws Baby
ws Bunny
ws Ball
ws Plane
w  Balloon (boon) - One of the most exciting things he sees
w  Pumpkin (puh puh) - I challenge you to spot the pumpkin before Archer
w  Basketball (ba-ball) - Again, he can spot basketball hoops from a mile away.
w  Bike
w  Book
w  Truck (Uck)
w  Duck
w  Moo
w  Baa

s Yes - His recent addition of nodding "yes" has been amazingly helpful
 s More
 s Please
 s Help
 s Hear/loud
 s Dirty diaper

ws Up
w  Eye - ...usually followed by a poke in your eye.
w  Hi - Who else do you know who can carry on a conversation with one word?
ws bye bye
w  No
w  Owie
w  Yay
w  Whoa
w  Dark
w  Day
w  Cheers (chees)
w  Jump

ws All done
w  Hot dog
 s Cereal
s Pickle - We had to invent our own sign (touch pointer fingers together), as no "first signs" books have pickle included.
 s Cheese
s Cold/ice - Must be seen to appreciated (see October highlights posting for a great example.)
 s Apple
 s Banana
 s Milk
 s Water
 s Cracker
