Shar and Joe know how to host a party: kid treats, adult goodies, professional children's musician, slide, basketball, swing, riding toys and sunshine. I couldn't have imagined so many toddlers and their parents crammed into a back yard with so little tantrum and drama, but it came together wonderfully.
Most importantly, after more than an hour of focused practice, TJ had made significant strides in the reliability of his mid-range jump shot. He's clearly ready to play off-guard in the under-3 league.

| TJ started the party by extracting blueberries from all of the kiddie fruit cups. |

| It's up. |
 |
| It's good! |
 |
| Ready to celebrate. |
 |
| A slide session during intermission of TJ's solo basketball game. |
 |
| Like-minded boys: crashing with Wilder. |

The balloon parting gift was the highlight of TJ's next 27 hours.

Working in the back yard the next day, we had a chance to learn about coping with loss, as the balloon came loose from TJ's wrist, and we watched it float away and enjoy adventures in the upper atmosphere. Bye bye balloon!
